covers
The cover design developed upon the concept of collision / separation / convergence, as the story is divided into 3 phases in each book respectively. The graphic composition deconstructed forms of I O and U letter which are the meaningful point of the story where the two protagonists made their promise. The story is deep in emotions and has intense built-up, it is difficult to grasp onto specific visual, therefore the abstract graphics. Despite its intensity, pink becomes its iconic colour which represents romance with deeper shades as the story carries on.
Layout and format
The format of the content challenge the definition of books. It is a mix of traditional novel writing and text messages. The story originally published on 'Joylada' which is a chat fiction platform. It allows us to write dialogues as if texting with friends and it disrupted the idea of how fiction should look like. Joylada became popular among Thai readers after launching its application in 2016. To print out what is supposed to be on mobile screen is extremely challenging in terms of editing and designing. I decided to keep the simplest form of texts (align left for other side and right for the sender), while normal passages remained usual.
Content editing
There is such delicacy of curating the contents and  language in use for this story. The chat dialogues should remain its casualness, slang, and typo errors (such as drunk texting situation). On the other hands, published book must go through proof read and it should spell correctly. It is a delicate process to find a balance use of language between appropriation and extreme casual conversational format.
